{SOCIAL} Media Butterflies Blog Hop & Giveaway

Today I'm taking part in a new blog hop! Every month on the 29th, I'll share something I made, inspired by someone else on the blog hop list. It can be an Instagram pic, a quote they posted, something I saw on their blog, Studio Calico gallery, whatever I choose!

This month I am being inspired by the lovely Amanda, of Something Sorta. After reading her blog, a quote that she had put onto a canvas really struck my heart.

My Layout

My Inspirational Piece from Amanda

The quote I was inspired by was 'let your faith be bigger than your fear". Now, I goofed and actually misquoted the quote (I said "..let your faith be stronger than your fear".) Ooopsies. I am constantly trying to instill in my boys of no fear...take chances and this layout is a perfect reminder to them of that!

Are you ready to see what else the Design Team has for you on their blogs? I happen to know that there are some awesome giveaways to be had, so be sure to start at Shay, and she will be give you the 'official' welcome and then make sure you check out all the links!

  1. I love your take on this quote! Fun layout!

  2. Of course I want to win! One of my favorites is 'toto, I don't think we're in Kansas anymore."

  3. Lovely layout! I love the sentiments best!

  4. fabulous take on that saying, love it

  5. Thanks for a chance! I followed your blog. My favorite quote is from Eleanor Roosevelt "We must do the things we think we can not do".

  6. My favourite quote in relation to my daughter is from Shakespeare via a dress from The Measure that we both love.

" And though she be but little she is fierce!"

It reminds me that she is strong and that her desires are just as strong and important as mine.

  7. I'm a follower! Thanks for the chance!
One of my favorite quotes is one my teens have on each of their bedroom doors:
"I know you've heard it a thousand times before. But it's true- hard work pays off. If you want to be good, you have to practice, practice, practice. If you don't love something, then don't do it."- Ray Bradbury-author.

  8. Gorgeous work, Melissa! I'm happy to be a new follower of your blog! I love quotes and one of my favs is “Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day. You shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.” Have a great weekend!

    1. Oh that quote is from Ralph Waldo Emerson!

  9. Lovvvve that you took a quote & made it your own! This is EXACTLY why I wanted to do this blog hop, everyone is inspired by such different things! Thanks for joining me :)

  10. Following! Love your work. My fave quote is "I have no greater joy than to know my children walk in truth." 3 John 4
