Happy Friday, friends! Happy Tax Day!  I am so, so happy its Friday (and really happy that since its Tax day, I should have my taxes done!)! This weekend is going to be busy! District Track meet for both boys, a fundraiser/concert for Alex and I, and Prom for Ben tomorrow! *whew* So many fun things going on this weekend!

Its Friday, so for my Friday Lovin' post I wanted to share with you 5 blogs that I love and read every single day. I have a wide range of blogs I read: some are about scrapbooking, home decor, beauty,  meditation and Christian based. So really, I am all over the place!

The catch for today, though, is non of the blogs I will be sharing are scrapbook related.

1. Thrifty Decor Chick - I've read her blog for, what, almost 4 years? Maybe longer? I have followed along as she has redone most of her home - and done a ton of the work herself. She recently did a major over haul of her kitchen and the results are nothing short of amazing.

2. Kate at The Small Things Blog  has a blog that I love to read. She mainly blogs about makeup and hair stuff, but she also includes day to day things that she does with her kids. She is just a happy person and I love her easy going spirit.

3. The Lettered Cottage - this is another blog I have followed for years. This is a home blog, and if I had to define my style, this would be it. Simple. White. Farmhouse with a mix of vintage. Laya, the blogs author, has also been posting about her and her husbands journey towards adopting a son from Haiti. While I love the decor and adoption themes, I absolutely love the Christian witness Layla is. On Wednesdays she post 'Instagram Wednesday' and shares new-to-me Instagrammers who have beautiful photos on their feed.

4. This next blog is a bit different. It is called Everyday Mindfulness. I struggle with anxiety. The older I get, the more anxious I get (Im being serious). I don't always read this blog but on days that I am struggling, this is the blog I read. It's more of a reminder to be mindful. The be in the moment. To not allow negative thoughts run my life.

5. I also enjoy reading Grace + Beauty. This is a beauty and fashion blog for women over 40 (Im not quite there yet!), but what I enjoy most is that she has a blurb at the end of each post that has a scripture and or a quote. She calls it 'beauty of the heart'.

So, there you go. My top 5 non-scrapbook blogs that I enjoy reading each day! Have you read any of these? What were your thoughts? What are you favorite non-scrapbook related blogs?

  1. I don't read non scrapbooking blogs. Just don't have the time, but I sure did enjoy the links the first decorating blog led to.
