I am so thankful for home cooked food.

Yep! The girl who hates to cook loves home cooked food!

Growing up my mom made everything homemade, and while I did help her - I definitely did not pick up her natural skill but I can make a few good things!

One thing I love making is Banana Nut Bread. It is so quick and easy! Grab some bananas you have sitting on the cabinet, that are starting to go mushy...throw in a few ingredients and you're done!
Here is what you need:

2 bananas that are ripe...like really ripe and squishy
1/3 c melted butter
1 teaspoon baking some
pinch of salt
3/4 c sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups flour

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and butter up a bread pan.
2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until completely smooth. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
3. Mix in the baking soda and salt. Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Mix in the flour.
4. Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan. Bake for 50 minutes to 1 hour at 350°F (175°C), or until a tester inserted into the center comes out clean.
5. Remove from oven and cool completely on a rack. Remove the banana bread from the pan.

Seriously y'all. This takes no time at all to make and taste amazing!
