Blizzard of 2013

Hey there! It's a snow day here at my house! We have gotten over 17 inches of snow in 15 hours. With 65+ mph of wind.

Yeah, its really not as peaceful as the photo looks. It's down right cold! Luckily for me, all the roads are shut down so Alex got to spend the day at home. He's never gotten a real 'snow day' from work, so its been nice.

I haven't been around the blog in the last two weeks. We have had the yucky, horrible flu. And then a staph infection. Fun times at my house. Don't be jealous!

The good news is that since I have been home all day, I have gotten my blog all scheduled out and ready to go.  I have some great layouts coming up to share + as well a few giveaways, so stay tuned.

Do you get crazy cold weather where you live? I would love to hear about it!

Stay warm, friends!

  2. That is a gorgeous photo! You're in Texas, right? I bet that was a shocker for you guys! We had 9” the other day and are supposed to get another 8-15” overnight & tomorrow. Too much all at once!

    1. Yeah, I am in Texas. We usually get small snow amounts (maybe a couple of inched) but this is just crazy.

  3. I'm in Iowa. It's been snowing for 24 hours now, but fortunately we haven't gotten the wind and the snow has been quite light (maybe 4 inches so far). That storm just keeps spinning counter-clockwise and won't move out of the midwest! Even though there hasn't been a lot of snow, I've been out clearing the driveway after the snowplow went through and clearing off our deck and patio. It's wet and slushy so very heavy.
