TGIF

This summer, I have been spending time - a lot of time - finding myself.

And not just 'finding myself' (said sarcastically) - but really finding my true, authentic self.

The 'me' that I was born to be, and not the 'me' that life has told me I am or who I think I have to be so that I will 'fit in'.

It's been a hard and painful process. Oh, and a process it is! But it has also been beautiful. And liberating.

I am currently reading Brene Brown's book, The Gifts of Imperfection.

And this book is changing my life. Seriously, folks. I am learning to live a wholehearted life and what it means to be authentic to myself. You should read it - this book is going to be in my top 5 life changing books - its THAT good.

Anywho, back to TGIF. On Brene's Blog, every Friday she has a 'TGIF" post, where she post what she is: Trusting, Grateful for, Inspired by, and the F is for Friday.

I am going to play along, and I invite you to do the same!

Today, I am trusting that the anxiety I am feeling about my boys going back to school is normal. Both boys are starting new schools on Monday and well, I remember how scary it was for me growing up to have to start at new schools.

I am grateful for my husband. He works so hard and loves me right where I am at. This past week I have focused on how lucky and blessed I am to have him in my corner. He is one of the greatest & unexpected blessings in my life.

I'm inspired by this quote (br Terri St. Cloud) that I found in Brene Brown's book, The Gift of Imperfection.

Happy TGIF friends! What are you Trusting, Grateful and Inspired by on this Friday??
