Run The Relay

Happy Monday! Its later in the day (...late blogging, again!) and I wanted to share a quick layout that I made today of John. He runs the 4x400m relay and I am just so proud of how hard he has worked this year.

For this page, I used the Studio Calico $5 Film Club Scrapbook kit that they released this month. I haven't bought any of their kits in a very long while, but I figured for $5 I could order the kit and get this kit to work with.

The verdict? I actually loved this kit. Its very much an 'old SC' type kit. Now, it is normally $30+ for their kits and I need to be clear - I know I wouldn't pay that much for this kit. But for $5? Yes.

Now, back to the page - there are vellum stars under each enamel dot. It kind of hard to see, but in person, it adds a soft detail. The Thickers are from American Crafts and the word strips are American Crafts Dear Lizzy line.

Super simple. Made in less than one hour.

Have you made any super simple, quickie layouts lately? Are they your go to or do you prefer more 'stuff' on a page? Tell me in comments!

Have a great evening!

  1. Fabulous layout. I like the vellum stars under the enamel dots! I love all layouts and I do some simple ones, but generally, I like lots of layers and patterns.

  2. Great photos, and I love what you did with them. I'm not a quick scrapbooker, but I notice that I am getting faster--or maybe just more streamlined--since I started doing process videos.
